We don't believe in a dogmatic approach to fitness or athletic development. We believe in finding people where they are and helping them incrementally improve their strength, nutrition, and capacity for dealing with stress.

Present Tense Fitness is a personal training and yoga studio offering empathetic, patient, and individualized strength, conditioning, and yoga for people who are ready to pursue sustainable change and dancers seeking to build resilient, powerful bodies.

Everyone who signs up for personal training or yoga at Present Tense receives complimentary lifestyle coaching, which is a habit-based curriculum designed to help our community incrementally learn how to shop for, prepare, and eat the foods that fuel, heal, and develop strength.

Our services


STRENGTH TRAINING

Our coaches will work with you to simultaneously build strength, mobility, and awareness. Whether you’re a 9-5 office worker or dancer seeking to develop a resilient body, we take a personalized approach to helping you identify areas of focus so you can move and fuel with greater intention. The Present Tense Fitness approach to strength and conditioning prioritizes injury prevention alongside elevated performance.



YOGA

Working in our private studio, you will learn how to deepen your practice if you’re experienced, develop your practice if you’re a beginner, or refresh your practice if you’re in need of a teacher to evaluate where you are. Our goal is to equip you with the tools necessary to walk into any yoga studio with confidence or create a home practice that suits your individual needs.
 


DANCE & SPORTS PERFORMANCE

Dancers know how important strength and conditioning can be for injury prevention and elevated performance. We combine our collective disciplines and expertise in strength and conditioning, yoga, pelvic floor training, and lifestyle coaching to help movement artists train properly and with efficiency in-season, preseason, and off-season. PRECISION NUTRITION COACHING

Every one of our clients receives lifestyle coaching delivered via daily emails from Precision Nutrition. Our PN-certified coach will guide you through the yearlong curriculum as you develop and keep habits that will unlock the potential you’ve developed in the training gym or yoga studio.
